Just to let you know this beautiful and free game is playable on openSUSE
It’s running fine for me on openSUSE 13.1 and playonlinux 4.2.5. There are some problems with it as it’s in testing but it’s perfectly playable. If like me you are running on intel gpu the blizzard launcher is completely white but the buttons are there you just need to click at the correct place. After launching the game it plays fine on arena an ladder.
I couldn’t get it to work for me although it used to work for me.
I use tumbleweed.
The installation with Playonlinux 4.2.5 starts the Battle.net-Program and everything seems to work smoothly. I was able to play Hearthstone. However, the Playonlinux installation is still open in the background and never finishes!!!
After closing battle.net and starting it again the game does not work anymore. The error message says that the windows plugin for qt is missing. The games works but only after (or rather during) the installation process. This means if I want to play the game I have to install it first everytime.
If I start Battle.net using the system’s wine (not playonlinux’s) then I can get the game to start but it will end at the loading screen with the message that Hearthstone can’t connect.
The installer is still in testing so I reported it on playonlinux forums. Waiting for a fix but this is not a big problem for me. A new installation is fast because I choose overwrite. It just needs to download the installer (3 MB) and flash player which is also fast
Try use this command to solve the issue with the launcher in Intel graphics cards:
Note: This workaround is partial, it’ll serve only to update the games, run the game using the .exe in their folder. This code force the software rendering, thus, avoiding the bug with the HDGraphics.
