Having problem with video settings

I hope this post is in the right thread I am running a dual boot with windows xp /open suse 11.2 whenever I log off of open suse and log onto windows then log back into suse my video settings do not stay everything goes way off to the left of the screen and I have to reset it anyone got any ideas how to fix this thank you.

From the menu, look for sax2
Run it

Or maybe you just need to install a graphics driver. Main ones here
NVIDIA - openSUSE
ATI - openSUSE

I already installed my Nvidia driver and they check out fine tested on a online game I play full screen and settings look ok in sax any other ideas thank you.

Lets see what you have. In a terminal do

cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
hwinfo --gfxcard

You have to use the nvidia-settings as su and save your configuration.

Another thing is if your monitor has an auto image adjust button you can use it to automatically put your screen image in place.

Here is what I got.
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

/…/
