"Have a lot of fun . . . " Where the heck is it?

Hi, all –

I use SSH to access my OpenSuSE servers and have gotten totally sick and tired of being told to “Have a lot of fun . . .” I would like to put a different message there, but I can’t find the file. Can somebody advise me where it is?

Thanks.

cheers,
pete

I have even three (3) advices for you:

  1. it is openSUSE, not OpenSuSE;

  2. when you are sick and tired, see a doctor or go to bed for a good sleep, or both, but do not trouble us with it;

henk@boven:~> cat /etc/motd
Have a lot of fun...
henk@boven:~>

Ah, the beauty of plain-text config files. Love it! :slight_smile:

And…

  1. Always remember to … Have a lot of fun… :smiley:

Maybe change it to “***** a lot of you!”?

KEK! Just kidding. I know what you mean. At least it is configurable. :slight_smile:
