Better tell us what components do you have in mind to assembly
(motherboard -manufacturer and model, vga card -manufacturer and model-…)
so people can give you any advice

Processor won’t be a problem, I guess.

As motherboard manufacturers (speaking in a mid-range price) I like Gigabyte
and MSI. Both make very nice products (reliable with good quality
components).

For servers (or high-end range) I like Supermicro and Tyan.

Do you have in mind any specific motherboard brand or model? And what about
VGA card?

Most important here should be what kind of use are you gonna give that
computer (server, desktop, for gamming, home or office…)?

That does not seem to be a “typical” home user computer.

Please, provide more specific information about the main purpose of the
system: what tasks will it be handle? Games, 3D image rendering, video
processing…?

Anyway, I keep Gigabyte and MSI as two of the best motherboards
manufacturers nowadays, for a multi-purpose system. Just dig a bit in their
websites to find a motherboard that suits your needs.

I have Disability and I trying to get a system that as the sc1(work),sc2(controls(sound,ex)),sc3(dictionary, thesaurus, word ref), sc4(read, speak in, entering aid)

I know read and speak programs are CPU hugs
if this need more then one C P U to do these!
I and all ready trying to learn and I integrated computer together to work like one computer!

In order to determine if the sound will function with Linux, one needs to specify the precise model # of the board - in order that one can look up the specs and/or send an email to the manufacturer to find out what hardware audio codec is embedded on the board.
