Couple days ago updated Tumbleweed and upon KDE Plasma 6 login it freezes, no mouse input or keyboard. If you login and keep on pressing the keyboard button, it is alive, as soon as you stop pressing the keyboard for 1 sec, the system freezes. Tried many things, eventually reinstalled the system fresh with 14022026 image ISO (good thing I have all data backed up on NAS), again KDE with Grub2-EFI (Grub2 BLS doesn;t allow dual boot, no Probe OS option as it seems), again after loging in the system freezes. Then tried installing with Gnome, and it is working, with MESA 26.0.0-1.1.
I installed then Plasma Pattern/Desktop, and then changed to Plasma Wayland to login = again freeze.
So, the issue seems in one of KDE latest packages!?
HP Elitebook 835 G10 7840U notebook. Had been running Tumbleweed since day 1 on this laptop, about 1.5 years.
Thank you!
The sad thing is I had to do a fresh install and now need to setup the whole system back, the good thing, I may get rid of many old clutter and rediscover something new, even though have been using SuSE/OpenSUSE/KDE for 2 decades now.
