I’ve had gzdoom on my machine for more than a year and it’s worked fine with no issues. x86_64 Intel with Intel graphics. Tumbleweed with XFCE.
But in the last week, when I try to launch it from the desktop, nothing happens. When I launch from the terminal, I get the following message:
*** Fatal Error ***
!!! Failed to exec debug process
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I noticed there were some updates to gzdoom recently. I can only assume this is related.

I got the same error as above recently. GZDoom was working flawless for many years.
Running on a x86_64 Intel with Intel graphics and Tumbleweed with Plasma 6 Wayland.
I’ve been struggling with this for a while too. I think it was an update to the OpenGL libraries (as I am using NVidia drivers) which broke it for me
However, GZDoom was updated to 4.12.2 yesterday and is now working again!
Hope it resolves it for you too when you run the latest update. Happy hunting!
