Windows, supports nearly all software, hardware, and viruses.

I have to say that I do not know how good it works, I do not own myself a
supported telescope, but since I like kstars I found it by accident.

Maybe htop and MidnightCommander. htop is a process manager, the nicer, more tidy version of top. And mc is a file-manager with text-editing capabilties. Both are very comfortable cli-programs, and both support “Mouse on Text Console (GPM)” so that you can point-and-click in text mode :P.

Fortunate to have found TestDisk and PartedImage. Testdisk completely restored my installation twice.

Did not work for me, but it was questionable anyway. Drive was
reformated with a different filesystem. Testdisk saw the partition but
wasn’t able to recover it. :frowning:
