Graphic error after upgrade to 11.0

Hi,
I use Suse on an old Compaq Armada E500 notebook.

After upgrade from 10.3 to 11.0 the graphical display are vertically shifted, the top boundary of the desktop are 3cm from the lower boundary of the display. To change it with Yast tools (arrows) don’t work.

Display 1024 x 768 60 Hz, chipset ATI RAGE Mobility (Compaq).

are you using vesa?

Yes, but I test some other 1024x768 monitors

I configure with sax2 and use xfine - but with no effect.

How I can reset the grafic and eliminate the vertical offset?

The misconfiguration are seen in log on screen to - are this coming from grub?

how I can set the boot screen to 1024x768

Grub VGA-Modus 0x314

Now it works
in Grub change to
VGA-Modus 0x317 (Failsave) and 0x318 (Normal Modus)

found in Linux Bootmanager

Well it seems incredible, BUT!! I had a horizontal offset (NVidia Gforce MX440, Samsung Syncmaster 151S) after installing KDE11.0. I have been looking all over the forums and the web to search for a solution. But this is it. Change the VGA modus to 0x318 in normal modus. It simply does the trick!!!
