Google earth, google-crhome won't install on leap 15, missing mesa-libGLU

Hello

Nor google earth nor google-chrome installs on leap 15.
Complains about missing dependency mesa-libGLU. Icannot find anymore this version.
In leap 15 there is other name for this library?
Have not found a compiled version for leap15.

What’s the solution?

How are you trying to install Chrome?
I just downloaded the rpm from the google chrome website and installed using install / remove software (Yast) and it installed and runs fine.
It also added the google chrome repository during install.
Only dependencies that it pulled in were . . .
https://paste.opensuse.org/58985014
https://paste.opensuse.org/58985014https://paste.opensuse.org/view/raw/58985014

Strange I’ve tried the same.
Now trying again google-chrome installed fine.
google-earth installing from repository has still dependency problem of missing library but ignoring it will install and it works…

Thanks!

thanks for the solution

BUT it is a new prof of the hegemonic position of Google worse than M$ 15 years ago
I will never use chrome and i am happy to be able to remove after erath installation

regards

I have the same problem. I wanted to install the recent google earth pro (google-earth-pro-stable-7.3.2.5495-0.x86_64). Yast2 complains that mesa-libGLU cannot be found:

"mesa-libGLU benötigt von google-earth-pro-stable-7.3.2.5495-0.x86_64 wird nirgends zur Verfügung gestellt

] google-earth-pro-stable-7.3.2.5495-0.x86_64 durch Ignorieren einiger Abhängigkeiten brechen

 ] google-earth-pro-stable-7.3.2.5495-0.x86_64 nicht installieren"

But libGLU1 and libGLU1-32bit are installed. What can be done?

I made me a dummy package:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:Sauerland/mesa-libGLU
Because openSUSE packages are named libGLU1.

Nothing will be installed only the dependencies libGLU1 will be installed.
And googleearth is silent…
