Gnome Terminal prompt assistance.

Hi all, I have a quick question, that is more of a snaggle, but it is something that is kinda bugging me.

I would like to customize the prompt in my terminal. I would like it just to display the present directory, not the whole directory listing. So instead of

paul@Antiparabox:~/Documents/School/Operating Systems>
[FONT=Arial]
I get:

paul@Antiparabox:Operating Systems>

I came across a how to earlier, and have since lost it, but it didn’t help completely either. Any help would be appriciated. Thank you.

Hi
You need to edit your ~/.bashrc PS1 variable to;

PS1="\u@\h:\W>"

Google on “customize terminal prompt” should give you plenty of hits
