Gnome-subtitles removed in the latest update - how to get it back?

Did a big update yesterday and noticed today that gnome-subtitles has vanished from the system. Enabled gnome-apps repository and there it can be found but then issue popped up:

Problem: 1: nothing provides ‘mono(cairo-sharp) = 1.10.0.0’ needed by the to be installed gnome-subtitles-1.7-37.4.x86_64

Specific mono package I was not able to find. gtk-sharp2 packages did not help.

Help would be appreciated again.

Found previous version from:
https://ftp.lysator.liu.se/pub/opensuse/repositories/GNOME:/Apps/openSUSE_Factory/x86_64/

The latest gnome-subtitles-1.7-37.4.x86_64 (gnome-apps-x86_64) does not exist there despite zypper says so.

Added Mono repository to get gtk-sharp3 packages and now got it working.

gnome-subtitles project is available here.

You can branch it in you own project at openbuildservice. Remove the _link file before building to avoid interference with the original project.

Alternatively, you can download the src.rpm and import it in you own project with add an empty file or service command.

After rebuild you will be able to reinstall from your own repository.

Does this mean that gnome-subtitles will not be part of Tumbleweed any longer and if one wants to use, have to build own version of it?

Yes, this package got removed from Tumbleweed. Only Leap still has it.

Available with GNOME:Apps Experimental repo.

It is really unfortunate that factory repos (not even remotely recommended for daily use) get recommended without even testing…
gnome-subtitles cannot be installed without breaking the package, as needed dependencies are no longer available in Tumbleweed. One reason why the package got removed…
