I just installed the latest Leap which the installer was great, and everything turned out well.
I have gone to extensions.gnome.org and I have gone to install an extension (Dash to Dock) which has not installed and has not appeared on the Extensions application.
Can you advise on how this can be fixed please.
did you make sure that you have the browser extension installed? otherwise I just tested dash to dock (using extension-manager from the repos for installation) and it works fine (fyi: I am the maintainer of extension-manager)
Thank you @malcolmlewis ! Your reminder helped me to get the extensions working.
I had first installed the extension manager via flatpak, which didn’t work. Then I tried the browser extension, which also didn’t work. When I installed the extension manager with zypper, I noticed it also installed the package unzip. And since that is installed, all three installation mechanisms work: The flatpak app, the browser extension, and the extension-manager package.
@rrahl0 , maybe it would make sense to advocate for including the unzip package in the gnome pattern for the openSUSE installation?
Alternatively: On my relatively new openSUSE 16.0 system, I found gzip, which is probably the one used by files in the context menu. But I don’t know if the two zip formats are compatible.
@rrahl0 thank you for maintaining the extension manager!
