I have a KeyScan keyboard, which I love because it’s just perfect for scanning bills, and other important paperwork and business cards that come along, but my keyboard scanner isn’t recognized by the Yast installer. Is there another way to install my keyboard/scanner in opensuse?

I think you are out of luck for a standard Linux driver but you might be able to find one on github.
