Geekos One-CLick Installers Not Working

@Largos what has being the Forum Administrator have to do with this, I’m just a user like anyone else?

I’m just pointing out that One-Click, ymp files etc are not recommended, plain and simple, YaST is going at some point, so will ymp files even work? The user also pointed out a problem with the website, again nothing openSUSE can resolve.

Users adding third party repositories should be aware of the associated issues and take those up with the Third party folks if something isn’t working. In this case I’m aware of @kill_it being one of the Maintainers of the repository (I’m also a package maintainer there) so hopefully it can be resolved properly for the user.

Digging further, what the OP describes has nothing to do with the ProAudio repo (.ymp from the oss repo show the same behaviour).
Something changed in Firefox: I still have a TW from one year ago with Firefox 126 where .ymp files are opened in YaST or downloaded depending on Firefox settings.
In current TW (FF 138) those files are opened directly in FF like .txt files and a few media files, without even asking if you want to “open or download” them like FF does for “What should Firefox do with other files?”.
I don’t know if that is intended or a regression.

Don’t know either, but this has happened before, maybe ~6 years ago. Also no idea whether this is inside FF or inside the DE.

@ bambancico
Have you already fund, how to install the Geekos software, you need?
If not, due to the 1-Install-Click, why don’t add the repository using YAST?
I tested on my Leap 15.6 and the YAST add routine not even asked to accept (or not) the security key. That means, it is the same of OpenSUSE.

Yes I did. I got it from the one click install thing. But apparently in website’s wiki there is a link to it. I haven’t thought about using yast, I am not yet spoiled by it
