Gaming on Tumbleweed

Just moved from Debian to TW for gaming on my main PC. AMD GPU so it just works. I see problem after problem with Nvidia GPUs and I ask myself “why”…AMD has served me well for over a decade on Linux and FreeBSD. Granted I don’t play the latest games: Everquest, GW2, LOTRO, most everything on Steam runs fine. Currently FO4, and even Cyberpunk 2077 works well and my GPU is 7 years old. Just posting a success story…

It is logic that it appears like Nvidia has more problems as AMD. But that is due to to the massive higher marketshare of Nvidia cards for gamers. More users of a product leads to more reports.
Have a look at the hardware statistics of as example Steam:

Gamers prefer power and performance from Nvidia over marketing bla bla from some influencers which can’t be fullfilled. The GPU benchmarks are lead by Nvidia without real competition from any AMD hardware.

Never thought about market share but that makes sense.
