From leap 15 + Xen transactional server to leap 16 /leap micro what would be the right path

Hello,

I am currently running an openSUSE Leap 15.6 server, which was set up as a Transactional Server (updated from an older 15 release). It utilizes the Xen hypervisor and hosts several HVM and PVM guests.

I attempted to upgrade to Leap 16 but was unsuccessful, so I performed a clean install instead.

To achieve an immutable Leap 16 setup (a Transactional Server), my understanding is that I should be using Leap Micro. However, I haven’t been able to find a way to install the Xen hypervisor on it.

My first question is: Am I on the right track with Leap Micro 6.1 and the Xen hypervisor? If so, what is the procedure for installing the hypervisor on Leap Micro?

Separately, I also tried installing Leap 16 and the Xen hypervisor on my test machine. Unfortunately, I could not boot with the hypervisor: Dom0 crashes immediately after creation, causing the machine to reboot. My test server has an Asus Prime B350-Plus motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core CPU.

My second question is: Has anyone successfully booted Dom0 with this specific hardware configuration? I should mention that I have installed and tested Debian 13 on this same server, and the Xen hypervisor works without any issues.

Any advice is welcome.
