So… how can I install new fonts in my new openSuSE 11.2???

Thanks for your help.

PD: I’m peruvian… and my natal lenguage is spanish… so… sorry my english.

You should find more than enough already installed and once you run online update it will drag in a load more.
All you need to do if you want extra is put fonts in a folder, for example you might copy the font folder from a Microsoft install and rename it MSFonts
Then just copy to
/usr/share/fonts/

Hi,

Are you using KDE?

Amazing! :shame: Is it really that easy now? I’m used to installing M$ fonts through YaST and wondered where the 11.2 howto had gotten to.

Thx for the tip, caf, I’m going to give that a try at the earliest opportunity!

yes I’m using KDE…
so I’ll have to copy all new fonts in this folder /usr/share/fonts/ … thats really easy I’ll try it. thx for the quickly answer.

If you are using KDE, download the fonts to the Download folder and then go to System Settings>Font Installer and KDE will do it for you.
