I am attempting to use Jellyfin under Tumbleweed. Apparently, the only way is to load it through Flatpak. I’ve gotten it to work, but want to start the server portion on boot. I created a systemd file pointing to the Jellyfin startup script that Flatpak created. This works fine except for one issue - when the system boots the Jellyfin server loads but the web browser also loads with the Jellyfin interface showing. I know that in non-Flatpak Jellyfin, there is a parameter, nowebclient I think, that allows Jellyfin to open without the web. This doesn’t seem to work in the Flatpak startup – or at least I can’t figure out how to make it work. Does anyone know the trick to this? Is there an actual Tumbleweed version in the works so I can dump Flatpak?
I’ve never used it, and have no desire to, but you might find this useful:
Thanks. I’m going to try this version out.
Actually, these instructions are for the media player, not for the server. The media player already has a Tumbleweed version. I’m concerned with the server. It would be nice to have an actual Tumbleweed version, but the Flatpak version does work. I just want to be able to load the server without it opening my browser and loading the web interface.
