Flatpak: User vs system

Hello everyone,

I’ve just found out that that the recommendation for Flatpak applications is for them to be installed for the user and not system-wide.

I’ve already installed several applications system-wide. I am the only user of my desktop computer. Should I uninstall the applications and reinstall them on the user-level or is there no reason to do so since I am the only user?

There is absolutely no reason to uninstall and reinstall. Flatpak installs applications system wide (for all users) by default. If you are the only user of the machine, there is no need to restrict the installation only to your user…

@LLiebermann That all depends on you, with a mixture two update routes for them, twice the work so to speak. On MicroOS it’s all at a user level for me.
