hi, either I install it with zypper, yast or binaries It wont save my bookmarks after I close it…
I bookmark any site, close firefox, not even restart, start firefox right after and the bookmark is gone. Only “basic” bookmarks (most visited, opensuse, getting started, latest headlines, mozilla firefox) are there. If I remove one of them it is back where it was after restart. So, firefox start its “first time” version each time. Why?
Please advice.
Maybe you’ll find your answer here:Bookmarks not saved
it didnt
to add I removed all rights or gave it only to user or only root, same thing happened…
tkanks.
seems deleting /usr/lib64/firefox/defaults/profile/localstore.rdf twice… worked fine.
Looks like problem solved
no its not…
After it saved the bookmarks for the first time I restarted firefox 3-4 time, everytime with positive efect, everything was how it supossed to be.
DID NOTHING ELSE.
I went to kitchen to make myself a cup of tea, 5 minutes later started firefox and guess what, my bookmarks gone and all the start set is back…
ffs
Maybe try creating a new account in YaST, and see if that suffers the same problem? It isn’t a solution, but it may narrow down the culprit…
@ ultrono,
I had a similar problem … I have posted answer to my problem which was successfully solved at Firefox problems! (bookmarks) UPDATE! - openSUSE Forums
Hope this helps …
