Firefox default font rendering problem

I am using GNOME and my default browser is Firefox.

I have a problem with Cyrillic font rendering in Firefox (GNOME does this correctly). For example, some letters in Serbian Cyrillic does not show correctly such as ћ which is shown as т.

I didn’t change any options since installing OpenSUSE.

How can I fix this?

Did you solve this? I’m having exact same problem. However, Chrome Browser works like a charm (doesn’t have this issue).

Please check content of “~/.profile”.
On this machine the LANG shell variable is as follows (set in two places: “.profile” and “/etc/sysconfig/language” [RC_LANG=“de_DE.UTF-8”]:

> echo $LANG

The non-German language users on this machine override the ‘RC_LANG’ value in their “~/.profile” files.

In the Firefox Set-up, have you included the “Serbian [sr]” language in the “Content” tab “Languages” section?

Thank you for answering. Yes, I included Serbian language in “Content” tab under “Languages” section. Also, added override to ~/.profile file. Still nothing.
As I mentioned, this is happening only in Firefox and only on OpenSuse Gnome 42.1. My colleagues use ther distros (ubuntu and its derivates) and they don’t have this problem.

Again thank you for your help!

Do the Serbian Cyrillic characters really not appear in Firefox when the “MozillaFirefox-translations-other” Package is installed?

If the Serbian Cyrillic characters are not being correctly displayed by Mozilla Firefox despite the installation of the “translations-other” Package and the correct selection of the Mozilla Firefox language behaviour, then a Bug-Report is needed: <> (login with your Forum user-name and password).
