Firefox audio/video desync

hello,
i’ve been experiencing a very annoying problem since months, when i watch videos on youtube (no other site does this from my experience) the audio and video regularly lose sync, the video seems to be late compared to the audio, pausing the video and resuming (sometimes i have to do it twice) seems to solve the issue but i have to do it almost every time which is extremely annoying.
this only happens on my all-AMD desktop pc, it’s not an issue on my Intel+nvidia laptop, could that be related ?

You might want to search, as there are numerous “Firefox audio video issues”.

However, does video / audio work in other browsers? Chromium, Chrome, Opera, Brave, etc.

i already did some reaserch and couldn’t find anything recent related to my problem, the only thing i could find was a topic from 3y ago on reddit /firefox , the OP said his problem was fixed after a firefox update.
i’ve tried with ungoogled chromium and no issues with video playback at all, it’s exclusive to FF

You should definitely learn how to get the same search result via a terminal and post the output as preformatted text. Pictures are never a good idea for a list of packages. This was already explained to you by an admin.
Following command gets you the same list in a comparable, readable and useable format:
zypper search -dis ffmpeg

If it only happens on YouTube, it could be a codec issue. Try installing all the codecs with opi codecs and then restart.

If that doesn’t work, try to clear the cache and cookies. Files stored in the cache and cookies can cause video playback problems. To clear them, follow these steps:

1. In Firefox, menu > History > Clear Recent History.
2. In the “Time range to clear” drop-down menu, select “All history”.
3. Select the boxes “Cache” and “Cookies”.
4. Click “Clear Now”.
5. Restart Firefox.
