I installed TW release 20260825-4270.1 today on my desktop. Now, when the screen saver cuts in, neither keyboard nor mouse activity reactivate the screen. The only recovery is to use the power button to activate/de-activate hibernation mode.
I am running Gnome/Wayland.
What has happened? Can I do anything to get back to normal?
Are you actually using a screensaver? Are you aware that these are using energy and wearing modern screens?
By screensaver I mean the automatic blanking out of my screen(s) after a few minutes of inactivity, as by default.
My Power settings had been: Automatic Screen Blank, ‘on’, Delay 5 minutes
Automatic Suspend, ‘off’.
The behaviour, after the update (as in my first post above), seemed as if Automatic Suspend had been activated independently of the actual setting.
Perhaps all is correct now after a new cold start.
