External screen not usable after TW update

Hi !
I have just updated my TW system to 20261023. My external screen is not usable any more (windows and mouse out of control, blinking, messy).
I have a laptop 1920x1080, nvidia 595.104.02, and an external screen 1920x1200 connected by DisplayPort.
Thanks for your help.

Posting the result of inxi -GSaz might help.

Thanks !

I made a test [1-with] and [2-without] external screen.

The external monitor is driven by the Nvidia card. Please upgrade to snapshot 20261024 (there is a new Nvidia driver) and report back.

[And please use “pre-formatted text”, use the </> button above the editing area, when pasting terminal output here ]

And https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=527526 might also be relevant with your configuration.

Thanks :handshake:

Just made the upgrade 20261024 but the problem still exist with the new nVidia driver.

The bug you mentionned is very relevant, thank you. Not sure yet I will do the workaroud, which is quite complex and must probably be undone before next update. Maybe I will wait for the next update…

Have a nice day !

Got the same problem. Followed the guide at this Garuda Linux forum to solve it.
https://forum.garudalinux.org/t/workaround-kwin-6-8-1-flickering-black-windows-on-a-monitor-connected-to-the-nvidia-gpu-intel-nvidia/49246

Seems to have fixed the external monitor flashing. According to this forum, there is a fix in Plasma 6.8.1 that fixes this permenantly.
