Hello,
I just updated openSUSE last night and when I tried to restart I got this Message
Error: file `/boot/vmlinuz-3.1.0-1.2-defualt
Error: load kernel first
I have partitioned my hard drive three ways to run Three separate systems openSUSE, Linux Mint and Fedora.
How do I go about loading the kernel first in this situation? I am not used to normal Linux commands I have been using Ubuntu before this.

You cannot issue any command to load the kernel. Grub or Grub2 just does this. I
think your problem is that the boot loader in the partition you are using to
control the boot was not the one that got updated. Probably, the file
/boot/vmlinuz-3.1.0-1.2-default no longer exists, and the current one has a
different name. Which one of your partitions is controlling the boot, and does
that use Grub or Grub2. In the appropriate configuration file, you will need to
change the name of the file that is being booted.
Despite what Canonical would have you believe, Ubuntu is a normal Linux, and the
same commands, for the most part, are used in openSUSE.
An update usually wouldn’t touch the bootloader.
Cruel errors may however result from an incomplete update.
Do you know which bootloader you’re using?
What is your system, or PC?
(intel, AMD, conventional BIOS, or UEFI ?)
