Try installing the gcc compiler.

Ok now after u have stated that i remmbered that i had deleted the gcc version 4.2.0 because I decided to install gcc version 4.4.1 for my ati driver.

Now I still can’t find and install gcc_4.2.0 using zypper :
zypper install -t pattern devel_C_C++

How do I install it now?

Btw thanks for your quick reply.

I’m afraid you borked your install. Please show us output of:

zypper lr

I’m afraid i can’t do that coz i tried updating and repairing using the DVD and now the bootloader is all messed up.

Currently installing SUSE back up.

Thanks for the support.
