Hello Everyone,
So I have another problem while trying to run online.
I set up the ‘Proxy’ from Yast and they tested successfully. I can connect to internet, but why am I getting ‘ERROR 407 proxy authentication required’?
Any ideas?
FYI, my comp is the part of company .NET network with bunch of firewall and security…

Your company proxy requires a user login and password. Make sure you have specified those correctly in the YaST setup.
I get a slightly different version of this:
Download (curl) error for ‘http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/repodata/repomd.xml ’:
Error code: HTTP response: 407
Error message: The requested URL returned error: 407

You have to make sure ‘Proxy’ is enabled from YAST and are setup correctly.
Mine are setup as follows:
http://10.158.1.50:8080
https://10.158.1.50:8080
ftp://10.158.1.50:8080
No proxy domains:localhost, 127.0.0.1
and then my username and password.
If you still having problem updating the compturer then look at my email from yesterday here:
Connect to internet through company network - Page 2 - openSUSE Forums
Hope it works. Gook luck
I can not get it to work… Have to check with the security group and see if they can see what is going on
Here is what I did:
export ZYPP_ARIA2C=O
yast2 -i
I still get this:
Download (curl) error for ‘http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/repodata/repomd.xml ’:
Error code: HTTP response: 407
Error message: The requested URL returned error: 407
