I think I did something stupid: Last time I was logged in, I edited the only account available on the computer and checked the “Disable User Login” checkbox. I did so, because I thought it refers to the auto-login feature (i.e. “Disable [for this] user [the need for] login”). I did that after removing a test user account, for which the auto-login feature was automatically removed by a confirmation prompt on its creation. Unsurprisingly, I always get “Login failed” when I try to login with my primary account. How do I get back in again?
You can login with root as the Username, and use the original password.
Although you can make changes to your regular User account by command line, you can also open up YaST to make your changes to that account (don’t make changes to your logged in root account).
Then, logout and back in as your normal User to test your changes.
Enabling and Disabling autologin can be done in YaST > /etc/sysconfig editor > Desktop settings (You’ll find several, one should be clearly marked for auto-login)
