Enable Snapper works with older snapshots

Snapper had created many number of snapshots in /home during operations, after openSUSE reinstallation I have to delete them all in order to enable Snapper by snapper -c home create-config /home. I ask if there are other ways to keep them and reuse them as current Snapper’s snapshots?

Why? Do you get any error? If yes, post full command invocation and complete output.

No, after snapper -c home create-config /home, the old snapshots under ~/home/snapshots are removed, next time

I am not sure I understand it. First, you tell snapper to create configuration for subvolume mounted on /home. Then you talk about ~/home which is subdirectory inside your user home directory. How the two are related?

Again - without showing the actual facts - complete commands with full output that you used to get the list of snapshots before and after, complete snapper command with full output - it is hard to even guess what you mean.

Snapshots is under /home/.snapshots, thanks for your correct.
Next time when I reinstall I may have more detail.

OK, then show complete output of these commands as root

ls -l /home/.snapshots
btrfs subvolume list /home
snapper -c home list
