Hi,
I read that LO-firebird was removed from Libreoffice Package for Tumbleweed about 4 years ago.
Is there a chance that it get’s included again?
This would avoid to install the rpm form the LO site
(which needed manually linking libxml2.so2 to libxml2.so.16.0.5) to get it working.

You might try this. I did this on Leap 15.6 (I should try on my Leap 16).
(I suspect is should work on TW).
A couple of screenshots are below, showing the clicking process.
Go to your System menu, then Office, then LibreOffice (not LibreOffice Base). And now using its main menu choose:
Tools->Options.
Next, select
LibreOffice → Advanced enable
Enable experimental features (checkbox)
Finally, close all open LO instances (use Apply or OK).
When it re-starts, you should see Firebird Embedded for the Embedded Database option.
