Emacs and wayland

I’m looking for pgtk-emacs to run emacs under wayland, I don’t see it.

How to run emacs under wayland and have “decent” scrolling speed?

I’ve googled around and “everybody” mention to switch to pgtk-emacs.

Right now, it’s very slow, especially with large folded outlines.

Emacs was much faster for me under X11.

Thanks

@elfroggio run emacs-wayland? Pure gtk (pgtk) was merged a few releases ago…

I do not see emacs-wayland in myrlyn or through opi or through software.opensuse.org.

Is there a repo? or is it part of some package?

Thanks

eMacs package

The command emacs-wayland is in the package emacs-x11 . So you have it most likely already installed as it is a dependency of emacs.

You need to set proper search filters:

Thank you, it’s there but it doesn’t show in the menus, so I had to add it and I also did the mimes.

Thanks
