Each time i add nvidia repo i get invinity restart loop

everytime i try to add openSUSE nvidia repo and actually adding it and then restarting i get stuck on invinity rezstart loop and only way is to go back is booting from previous snap, but that takes me emergency mode and after that i keep crashing constantly to emergency mode tty and hitting enter lets me get back random times

At least tell what you do, much better show the command here. Copy/paste in a post is ~1000 times more effective in informing potential helpers then just type a variation of the infamous “it does not work”.

Just follow the guide here adding repo as the guide shows SDB:NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE Wiki

This does not answer Henk’s question. The SDB list scommands and ways for different distribution flavors. You are ommiting informations so still nobody knows what command you used…

Well it should provide all information since the tag is micro is aeon and using transactional-update

As guide shows to add Nvidia repo using sudo transactional-update -i pkg install openSUSE-repos-NVIDIA

After adding it restart and infinit restart loop comes and then rolling back to previous snapshot goes emergency state try and hitting enter to continue will eventually go to login screen, but it keeps crashing to back emergency mode. Got it fixed when I got logged in and made new snapshot without Nvidia repo so I am now stable ish state without nvidia

@PhatLe which is incorrect for MicroOS derivatives… it should be openSUSE-repos-MicroOS-NVIDIA but they are the same AFAIKT…

Try transactional-update run zypper in openSUSE-repos-MicroOS-NVIDIA then transactional-update apply then zypper lr

Aah, the repo definition was added by Sfalken. I will change the SDB…

I don’t see where I did that in the wiki page history, but I suspect openSUSE-repos-MicroOS-NVIDIA didn’t exist at the time that wiki was updated.

Sorry, my mistake. It was Lubos.

It went worst now infinity restart loop can’t get to login screen and all previous snapshots are black screens

If I don’t add the Nvidia repo all is good and stable if I add it system is then unusable and full reinstall I have no idea what and why adding repo would kill full OS

I can add other repos no issues like 1password, nordVPN

Okey got it working

No more crashing

Fresh install and I actually deleted all MOK keys from bios since sudo mokutil --reset didint reset all so manually deleted the MOK what was there

After that

transactional-update run zypper in openSUSE-repos-MicroOS-NVIDIAthentransactional-update applythen zypper lr that didint crash anything anymore and tested restarting laptop all good and then installed Nvidia drivers and signed keys manually all good only no Nvidia in use that is small issue now atleast system is working
