Dual boot bitlocker mess

I installed OS 16 as dual boot with windows, OS being located on an external USB drive and windows staying on the internal drive.
OS is booting, but windows can not be booted via the grub entry due to bitlocker problems. To boot windows I have to unplug the USB drive with the OS installation.

This would be impossible if OS is not located on an external drive but on a second internal drive: I can not simply unplug it.
I would therefore expect OS 16 installation to irrecoverably mess up the windows installation when trying to set up a dual boot system withh two internal drives.
Since with OS 16 any option to modify the standard boot configuration during installation has been discarded (in the spirit of bad microsoft behavior) I don’t see a way not to mess up the system in that case.

Is there a solution I overlooked?

You could probably select the OS from the UEFI boot menu instead of waiting for the Grub menu.

@suse_paul could also be the efibootmgr order? Likewise in the BIOS, USB might be set to boot first…

Likewise, I have a dual boot setup (on the same device thought) bitlocker is running and boots fine.
