Driver for Sapphire HD 5770?

Hello,

how can I check if my graphics card’s driver is installed. And if not, how can I install it and where can I download it?

Please explain it for dummies, I’m less than a beginner. :wink:

I typically look inside the file /var/log/Xorg.0.conf which tells me which driver is in use. If you can’t figure out that file, then open it with an editor, and copy its contents and paste them on the paste web site Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002! and press submit. That will give you a URL/website address. Post the URL (website address) here so we can look at it and tell you what we interpret (don’t post the entire file contents here … its too big).

Well, I can’t find the file :smiley: Is it hidden or something?

I only have Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old.

I should know better to type when I am suffering from jet lag. The file IS Xorg.0.log as you noted.
