Does remmina work on Leap 16?

Hello,
I try to get back to Leap :slight_smile: . I couldn’t imagine that I’ll face so much issues starting with the installer. Leap 15 was a dream, but anyway, it is what it is.

When I try connect to my small personal server(is running a VNC server via wayvnc) with remmina I get this error: “Unable to connect to VNC server”. I disabled SELinux and firewalld but is the same error. I can’t see where the problem is.

I use remmina for years, never expected that it will not work.

Somehow I managed to make Remmina work, this is how I have done:

  • installed Leap without SELinux
  • if Remmina is installed from the official repos : first all the connections should be removed, then remove the package and delete the ~/.config/remmina directory.
  • install Remmina via OPi from a user repository
  • Install apparmor: en.opensuse.org/How_to_switch_from_SELinux_to_AppArmor_in_Leap_16

Even without SELinux remmina installed from the official repo doesn’t work, at least I didn’t succeeded.
