Distrobox sudoer "solution"

hellO Suser !

i recently move back to tumbleweed 24 year after my first Suse installation ^^

i could not install PikoPixel for my son “Art”.

i would use Distrobox so i start with Docker, but i have got a sudoer issue ( Github issue ).

after some investigation, i cannot find solution… but had an idea

  • i uninstalled Distrobox and Docker and install install Podman in place of Docker.
  • i reinstall Distobox
  • as i was lazy, i install BoxBuddy in Flatpak.
  • Pikopixel work on debian based apt then i set a linux min 21 container.
  • Update the container and then do a sudo apt install without any issue (i was shocked)
  • With BoxBuddy i launch the app with 1 click and worked fine directly !!!
  • Always with BB i export the app to my kde launcher and it was in place !!

I wish it can help other !

Have fun

Looks like some weird docker issue more than distrobox as the issue was solved after changing out the container runtime.

Thanks for posting the solution :100::tada:

Edit 1: could be the image too. perhaps boxbuddy pulled some other compatible image? toolbx images from RH works every time IME.
