Display manager is making strage things

hi

I have a problem with the grafic of my computer with openSUSE KDE 4.2.

I made the newest update and after that, he said I should reboot.
Done, but before the login my screen shows me the bootloading messeges in a strange color.

I can hear that if I type my password it is going to login, but I just can see the strange screen.

I had often problems with the computer, because sometimes it is just hanging up (during the login too) without any reason.
After that I just rebooted and the problem was gone (for a wile).

Now I wandet to start the failsafe system, but during the login he hanged up and another strange thing is, that the scroll lock and the big size (not the num lock) lights of my keyboard began to blink.

I am using a new (1 month) ATI Radeon HD 4830 Graficcard, Processor AMD Sempron +3330 Pentium and the KDE grafic features are turned off.

hi

I solved the problem:

I wrote at the bootmanager instead of “vga=0x31a” “init 3”
so I started in the console, after that you have to “cd” the directory where your grafic driver is, compile and install it again.
reboot and it worked ;)
