Discover with Plasma KDE 6.7.0

I updated to Plasma KDE 6.7.0 this morning. Everything looks fine besides Discover - which never finishes looking for updates when requested.

I suspect this is an Plasma problem rather than Opensuse, as I have an old computer with KDE Neon and the same thing happened when being updated to 6.7.0.

Hum, personally, I don’t think so.

I have a very new computer on which I’ve installed Trumbleweed and all the subsequent updates since February.

And I’ve often had the same problem as you.

The only solution I’ve ‘found’ is to close Discover and start again the next day.

This problem doesn’t always occur, just from time to time.

But I don’t know enough to figure out what the problem is.

Discover is working for me after the Plasma 6.7.0 update, at least for now. Like Zlinux1 said, Discover has done this forever, but I did read that they fixed it a while back.

Thanks for posting.

I (still) use ‘x11’, so I tried ‘discover’ again with ‘wayland’ and it worked. Then tried again with X11 and this now works again.

@dth2:

Have you checked the (KDE Plasma) “System Settings” → “Software Update” settings?

 > systemsettings --version

From what I see here I think you guys are seeing nothing more than a caching issue.

FYI: In the case of Discover “for ever” doesn’t mean much. it was “born” in May 2020.

My settings are the same as yours:-
