Discover wants to update Mesa and other packages, als Flathub apps, why?

Hi,
for convenience I used Discover to install two flatpack packages (from Flathub), namely “teams-for-linux” (not to be confused with the deprecated MS teams client for linux) and “bottles” (for easy managing non steam games).

When updating the names packages also using Discover i noticed that most of the times there are additional apps/packages listed as updatable which i had never installed! All of them are also Flathub packages, including stuff like Mesa???
Does anyone know where those come from? It is espceccially strange that packages like Mesa are installed on my system but as “real” packages from Packman.

I also want to mention that zypper dup does not list any pending updates, not even Mesa!

@sabo007 those are Flatpak application dependencies nothing to do with the system packages.

Yeah… I just noticed they were gone after installed the Teams and Bottles flatpacks. But I am a bit confused because i thought that flatpacks do not have any outer dependencies. Should not they be self contained?

Flatpaks require “runtimes” which helps reduce duplication of things. So much stuff ties into Mesa, that it makes more sense to provide a common Mesa package, than to have every flatpak providing it’s own version.
