I mentioned this in my previous post about “next steps when GA is released”.
On my desktop, running 15.6 Beta, I ran zypper on the date of GA, and the result was 194 updates (?) , including new kernel. On the next reboot, (and now) I now see “Leap 15.6” at the Grub boot screen (no “Beta” written) .
On my laptop … it’s still running 15.6 Beta (and shows on Grub screen, and been no kernel upgrade). I ran a zypper about an hour after the desktop was upgraded to 15.6 GA. (and to this day)
When I ran the zypper on the laptop after desktop, it showed (I think) nine updates. Today, three updates. There has not been 60-70+ updates, as on my desktop… and a similar count reported by openSuse staff (as @nrickert mentioned in my previous post).
So, the big question is … what can I do to “influence” my laptop to upgrade to the 15.6 GA ??
(sidenote: a bit strange the formatting is different for the output for each machine)

What version do you see if you view the file /etc/os-release?
On your laptop, you appear to be missing the “Main Repository”. That’s #13 for the desktop. And that’s where most of the updates show up during the development period.
Maybe try copying the file “/etc/zypp/repos.d/repo-oss.repo” from the desktop to the laptop.

Thanks @nrickert … strange and I didnt see that… .
I will work on that and see how it goes… (again … very strange)
Once you have the main repo enabled, you’ll need to do a zypper dup.
VERY strange it was missed all this time.
I added the repo just now and ran a zypper and it resulted in 970 updates !!!
Rebooted and it now shows “Leap 15.6” at Grub … I can’t believe I didn’t see it.
How the HECK did it work without the Main ???

I did a “dup” to check, cancelled, then did an “up” and results were the same… 970 updates… did the “up” and all seems okay now … still confused why that repo was missing
You probably had the main repo at one time. Perhaps a typing accident deleted it.

If you never did a dup with all standard repos enabled, you may not have a complete 15.6.
