Is there a way to change default player for all multimedia files?
Real Player is the default player in suse, so do I have to select totem for every media file type manually or there is another way?
right click a media file
then click the spanner icon
in the next box will be a list of any configured players for that type of media
you can add others
and or move them up or down in the list to make default
In GNOME 
should be the same procedure.

Anyway, since when is Realplayer the default. Isn’t Totem?
Real is an extra app. Not in the default install.
