December 2024 Screenshots

The Xfce 4.20 had been released today and it’s now available in the openSUSE Tumbleweed Xfce repositories. Those who don’t want to wait in tumbleweed can now try it.

Hi, this machine is a HP-Pavilion-g6  openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma.

I do like the wallpaper and the laptop, it’s a major upgrade from the compaq nc-6400. More testing is required here there must have been a gifted artist who created it out there somewhere.
Two of the Toshiba Amazon.com: Toshiba Memory America OCZ TR200 Series 2.5" SATA III 240GB Internal Solid State Drive (THN-TR20Z2400U8(CS) 2.5" THN-TR20Z2400U8(CS : Electronics drives have been ordered and I can then practice backup solutions with dd.
@malcolmlewis -Thank you for all you do for the openSUSE community.

And another one I setup this evening… This system still needs a case, but mainly want to play more with Intel ARC…

systemd-analyze
Startup finished in 554ms (kernel) + 8.863s (initrd) + 3.165s (userspace) = 12.583s
graphical.target reached after 3.165s in userspace

Situation: Notified by Amazon that the SSD drive mediums will be arriving late.
Partial Solution: Cancelled order of the mentioned SSD drives at this time. Looking into other avenues.
-Seasons Best

@panorain dd is too slow  just backup your user data and config changes?

That TW install took about 20 minutes, I have a root config (add extra software, install my config scripts etc) and user config script that runs (mainly gsettings changes), all done…
