Ddcutil 2.2.5 updating

When packaging ddcutil for distributions, take note of the following: 

- Use of group i2c for permissions is in general no longer necessary. 
The rules in file /usr/lib/60-ddcutil-i2c.rules give the logged on user RW
permission to /dev/i2c devices associated with monitors. However, use of 
tag uaccess does not address the case where the user has logged on using ssh.
- File 60-ddcutil-usb.rules is not installed.  Monitors that use USB for
communication with their Virtual Control Panels are rare, and error messages
caused by the rules, while benigh, can be confusing.
- File /usr/lib/modules-load.d/ddcutil.conf ensures that driver i2c-dev is 
loaded if it is not built into the kernel.
- By default, the build date and time are embedded in the ddcutil and 
libddcutil executables. If reproducable builds are required, use configure 
option --disable-build-timestamp.

2.2.7 is out, no schedule to update to it? 2.2.5 is still active and still prevents KDE Wayland login.

I followed doctor gemini and built 2.2.7rpm and
2.2.7 at least show the desktop for a second, but I guess there is something else

Plasma Wayland is working fine here, has been for months.

I haven’t seen a bunch of forum posts or bugs filed about ddcutil causing any issues with it.

I am on Nvidia AMD hybrid graphics and Wayland is unusable. Currently I am using the X11 session.

And there a lots of forum posts on the black screen issue.
