DaVinci Resolve 16.2.7. not working on OpenSuSE Leap 15.2

Anyone has had success with installing AND using DaVinci Resolve 16.2.7 on OpenSuSe Leap 15.2?
I run kernel 5.3.18-lp152.50-default and NVIDIA 450.80.02-lp152.37.1.x86_64.
When I start the program from the Application Menu, is aborts in gracious silence.

There is a peculiar message when installing the program:

Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keystatic QPlatformTheme *QKdeTheme::createKdeTheme(): Unable to determine KDE dirs

This may hold a clue to the solution of the problem?

Regards,

Ed

  1. I can not find a package named DaVinci in the standard repos. Thus you probably installed it from elsewhere, but you fail to explain from where it comes, nor how you installed it.

  2. You seem to start it from a desktop menu, but failed to explain which DE you are using.

  3. General action when an application does not start from a desktop menu is calling it from a terminal. That might show messages/errors.

Needs additions to run, default is CentOS.

Simply search before asking.

Hi
How are you installing the run file? You should install as your user and then enter the root password when requested…

Tested here on qemu machine, GT710 and GNOME DE, all working as expected.
