Customise KDE, panel/taskbar

Hi guys, after a fresh install, I decided NOT to reimport the .kde4 folders, so to start with a clean slate. Now I customised most of what I want, but am stuck on some things.
1)
These icons are NOT the ones I have dragged from the kickoff, but are pre installed to the taskbar. I know I CAN just delete them, and then drag replacements, but I would like to know how to change or vary the size. No matter what I try they remain tiny. (these re on the LEFT of the panel)

These icons annoy me. I don’t know why, I just don’t like them. I have tried in systemsettings >application appearance> icons Changing the ‘theme’ here does not change these icons. How do I change these? (RIGHT side of panel, currently klipper, kmix, and Network)

Those two icons are part of the task manager, whereas the others are stanadard icon plasmoids.
You cannot resize them or change them AFAIK, and you cannot move them either. You can add one of those by right-clicking on a task manager entry and choosing “Show a launcher when not running”.

Those system tray icons are part of the plasma (desktop) theme. Change that (in “Workspace Appearance”->“Desktop Theme”) and the icons will change, too.
They are located in /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/<themename>/icons, so you can replace them if you want to. But your changes will be lost when you install updates. So it would be better to create a new theme (by copying an existing theme folder) and change that.
But on the “Details” tab you can select different themes for specific parts of the desktop (like “Icons” in this case). You can even choose a file there, but I have no idea what kind of file this would have to be for the icons.
