Cursor acting very weird (duplicating and creating gray box, Gnome 48)

Hi, I have a very distracting bug since around ~1 1/2 weeks, which causes my cursor to duplicate and create a gray box over the entire lower part of the cursor position. (Only when idling the cursor and only around ~25% of the time, there seems to be no recognizable pattern with which mouse actions this happens) Before that I had for I think around 3 weeks only the part with the duplicate cursor, so something must have changed after a while that causes the gray box to appear on top of that. Here are some of my specs, I can provide more if needed:

DE: GNOME 48.2 (wayland)
WM: Mutter
WM Theme: Adwaita

Terminal: gjs

GPU2: AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT

In the time those issues appeared, I have not installed any RPM packages manually and I also tried disabling all Gnome Extensions I have running, so I’d assume those would not be the issue.
