Greetings All,
I recently upgraded my motherboard to an ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0.
At the same time, I upgraded from SUSE 12.2 -> 12.3
After this upgrade, I can no longer monitor the CPU temperature, or the Motherboard Voltages.
Running the sensors command shows only 3 sensors:
*fam15h_power-pci-00c4
Adapter: PCI adapter
power1: 87.73 W (crit = 125.19 W)
k10temp-pci-00c3
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +27.4°C (high = +70.0°C)
(crit = +90.0°C, hyst = +87.0°C)
nouveau-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +51.0°C (high = +95.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)*
I am assuming that the K10temp is the motherboard, and the nouveau is my video card. I have no idea what the “fam15h”
sensor is.
The sensors-detect utility was run without any change in the above output.
Although CPU temperature and voltages ARE available from the BIOS panel, it would be useful to know what is going on when running applications.
Is there some magic needed to be done to make these sensors available under Linux?
Thanx in advance…
Richard Rosa
