connecting to ssh tunnel

OS opensuse 11.0
Problem:
I am trying to connect to an ssh tunnel and the website gives these instruction:
Step 1: Connect via SSH Tunnel using SOCKS4 Proxy

  1. Install openssl and openssh from your distro’s repository if you don’t have it installed already (most distributions have it already)

  1. Find the the server you want to connect to on the servers page:

    Server List :: FindNot.Com

  1. Open a new console, and type the following:

    ssh -D 1088 -p 80 username@vpnX.findnot.com

( Where X is the server number from 1 to 29, and username is your findnot username, all lowercase)

*** Using ssh connections from the console will require the console to stay open. Do not close the console or your connection will be lost.

After following all that and entering ssh -D 1088 -p 80 warrior123@vpn28.findnot.com ,
I get this : ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
Note that I have disabled my firewall.
Also this command
ssh warrior123@vpn29.findnot.com
connects but it won’t help me surf the internet i think.

Please help.

I assume you have an account at this ‘findnot’ site, right? Also you
have verified with them that your username works properly? The firewall
on your side shouldn’t matter in any case since it’s an outbuond
connection. Have you configured your browser to use a proxy?

Good luck.
