I have installed clipgrab 3.4.1.1 on suse leap 42.1
Downloading mp4 works great but if I switch to “audio only” it does not create any mp3 file.

I’ve never used that app, but seeing how for it to output an mp3 file it needs to be converted and clipgrab probably uses ffmpeg for that, so do you have ffmpeg, is it from the oss repo or from packman?
try
zypper se ffmpeg
what’s the output
post the list of your repositories
zypper lr -d
Yast Installation Dialog shows, that ffmpeg is from opensuse / leap 42.1 repository
the leap oss repo carries a crippled version of ffmpeg you need the one from packman, do you have packman?
if not this should do the trick
sudo zypper ar -f http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/ packman
sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper dup --from packman
the main austrian packman mirror http://packman.inode.at/ is down so if you have that mirror remove it and replace it with the one above.
Thanks, I replaced now http://packman.inode.at/ with ftp.gwdg.de and executed the three zypper command and rebooted.
Now clipgrap is crashing (see console output)
patrik@linux-2l2u:~> clipgrab

Second thing is, that after reinsalling from packman
What did you do?
it looks like you did something wrong, Firefox needs packman to play youtube video’s
I’ve never used konquerer as it’s extremely buggy when it comes across complex java scripts
it looks like there is an upgrade available for clibgrab, how and where did you install it from?
post your reposetories
zyppre lr -d
you are using leap right, as the only reason Firefox would stop working is if you mixed packages from other versions (13.x or TW)

You are right. My installed clipgrab version is 3.4.11, but why does leap not install the laatest release (3.5.6)?
PS: yast shows me, that clipgrab is installed from packman.links2linux.de
Best regards
Patrik
your repositories are a mess I think I saw 3 packman and 4 science and 2 libdvdcss repo’s clean them up, disable or remove the install DVD it’s not needed any more (repo #12)
why hasn’t packman relesed an update well they haven’t gotten around to it.
First, you need to clean up your repositories.
Then, follow this guide:
https://forums.opensuse.org/entry.php/165-openSUSE-Leap-42-1-Multimedia-Guide
ok, I cleaned up my duplicated repos. Makes it a bit faster now. Thanks for that.

After downloading clipgrab from ClipGrab - Downloader und Converter für YouTube & Co it works now.
