Chrome can't download pdf files

Hello,

Hello, for several months I have had a problem with Google Chrome. I can no longer download certain files, such as PDFs.
I get an error message saying “Failed - Insufficient permissions.”
On the other hand, I can freely download images…
Do you have any idea how to resolve this problem?

I’m just guessing. My guess is that there is a problem with the permissions for the directory where Chrome wants to download the pdf files. There’s probably a way to tell Chrome what directory to use.

I have already tried to use the “save as” option with different folders but I have the same problem.

I can download but not the PDFs.

@mandragore59va If you create a test user, login as that test user, can you download PDF’s as the test user?

I use Version 118.0.5993.117 (Official Build) (64-bit) and all is fine?

This is the flatpak version of Google Chrome? If so do you also run FlatSeal?

Does toggling the way pdfs are handled help at all?
